SIMULATION OF NEUTRAL BEAM INJECTION IN POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE TRIANGULARITY TOKAMAKS
Abstract
In this paper the dynamics of high energy charged particles in negative and positive triangularity tokamaks is studied
through the simulation of a neutral beam inyection on analytical MHD equilibria using the exact orbit code FOCUS. It
is observed that the negative triangularity configuration presents fewer losses of non-thermal particles, and an energy
deposition more localized than its counterpart.
