CHARACTERISTICS, FUNCTIONAL MODELS AND SIMULATION OF INTRAOCULAR LENSES: A REVIEW
Abstract
A review of the mathematical models that predict visual quality of intraocular lenses as a function of the optical
quality parameters that characterize them, and a review of the methodologies used for the simulation of vision with
intraocular lenses are presented. It is shown that the existing simulation techniques could be useful to evaluate the
different models of visual quality in multifocal design intraocular lenses.
